For years I have been pushing the boundaries of various Pigment Transfer techniques. From transfers on paper, to transfers on metal wood, and stone tiles. These are all well and good, but there are a couple of other processes that I know and love as well (Cyanotype and Gum Bichromate). Anyone who is fond of these processes will tell you that they can be tricky and a little unpredictable. Especially Gum Bichromate. The problems and issues multiply when you attempt them on non traditional substrates, and multiply even further still when you combine them together. My goal for some time has been to combine the pigment transfer process, with cyanotype, and gum bichromate on to wood panel. The following images are the first successful attempts.
